About the role
The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role in executing and optimizing digital marketing initiatives across the Patelco public website, paid media, organic search, email, and user experience channels. This role supports daily website change control operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant updates within a regulated financial-services environment. The Specialist will also contribute to the creative development and delivery of paid media campaigns, partnering closely with internal teams and external agencies to bring concepts to life, as well as participating in backend operations to ensure tagging and reporting requirements are fulfilled. Additionally, the Specialist will help promote the adoption of AI-enabled tools across the Marketing team—using them responsibly to improve efficiency, enhance content quality, and streamline workflows. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable balancing operational precision with creative problem-solving. They’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing Analytics, Product Marketing, Creative Services, Technology teams, and agency partners.
Responsibilities
- Public Website & Digital Channel Management
- Support both short-term digital marketing plans and long-term strategic alignment of our website, including content management, A/B testing, performance, and monitoring.
- Support change requests for our public website, Patelco.org, ensuring timely, compliant, and optimized delivery of changes that are closely tracked and owned from start to finish.
- Facilitate routine content updates on product landing pages, campaign landing pages, rate updates, articles, webinars, community event pages, support center assets, etc., including sourcing images and iconography.
- Interface and collaborate directly with internal and external partners on strategic recommendations for search engine optimization and generative engine optimization.
- Support internal development operations on user interface and user experience enhancements, including reviewing business needs, contributing to wireframes and prototypes, and assisting in user acceptance testing of all new website features.
- Continually iterate to ensure easy usability for our members and prospect members, and keep our digital experience and services competitive in the financial services landscape.
- Facilitate the tracking and ticketing operation for website defects and accessibility issues, as well as content discrepancies and version control issues.
- Provide basic website analytics using existing tools and platforms (GA4 and Jetpack).
- Remain current regarding website best practices, website management applications, solutions, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Paid Search & Digital Advertising
- Help build, optimize, and report on paid search campaigns across Google and Bing, including ad copy changes, CTR, CPM, and CPA analysis, and facilitate advertisements across the Google and Microsoft ecosystems, including Demand Generation, Performance Max, and AI Max.
- Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and ongoing bid/targeting adjustments alongside a third-party media agency.
- Facilitate performance optimization through A/B testing, audience segmentation, and AI-driven insights to improve ROI.
- Organic Search & Content Strategy
- Work alongside the Director of Digital Marketing to optimize metadata, content structure, internal linking, and accessibility.
- Facilitate the intake of SEO, GEO, and content recommendations from a third-party SEO vendor and work with various product and business teams to review upgrades, version control content based on internal governance, incorporate changes, and monitor performance uplift and visibility.
- Support the technical aspects of website health, such as monitoring crawlability, indexing, schema markup, and site architecture.
- Partner with content creators to develop search-optimized articles, landing pages, and product pages.
- Work alongside the Director of Digital Marketing and search agency to track rankings, traffic, and search visibility using analytics and SEO platforms.
- General Digital Support
- Provide general backup and redundancy for email marketing campaigns, including content development and reviews.
- Support the Principal, Marketing Operations for organizational communication needs on online banking channels.
- Use AI tools to draft, refine, and personalize copy and campaign assets, along with identifying opportunities to streamline repetitive tasks using AI and automation platforms.
- Support team leaders to populate and enforce the omnichannel Marketing Calendar.
- Provide support during website code deployments and help track the impact of new UX features.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a relevant field, or equivalent working experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in financial services or another regulated industry.
- Hands-on experience with CMS platforms, Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEO tools, and email marketing systems.
- Agency experience serving clients is a plus.
- Experience with paid media channels, paid search, SEO, social, and other digital marketing capabilities.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, digital compliance, and accessibility standards.
- Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Schedule
This role is based at Patelco HQ in Dublin, CA and is eligible for hybrid work arrangements.
Pay
Target base pay: $75,912 - $89,315 per year. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Patelco Credit Union considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
