Digital Marketing Specialist
NBME is a not-for-profit organization specializing in the creation of assessments and learning tools for physicians and health professionals. About the role
NBME is seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to support its digital presence by serving as the primary day-to-day resource for website content management, quality assurance, accessibility, and ongoing website maintenance. This role coordinates and implements website updates, partners with internal stakeholders to maintain accurate, accessible, and high-quality web content, and supports digital marketing initiatives including email marketing, campaign execution, website analytics, performance reporting, and marketing technology administration. The position also provides project management support for digital marketing and website initiatives, manages timelines, documents project activities, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and aligned with business objectives.
This is a primarily remote position, though occasional onsite work for team collaboration or meetings may be required. Onsite interviews and onboarding at our Philadelphia office may also be required.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day website content updates in WordPress; publish, update, archive, and remove website content using approved templates and components.
- Coordinate website requests with internal stakeholders and perform quality assurance (links, images).
- Assist with website accessibility remediation (WCAG 2.1 or higher).
- Support landing page creation and maintenance.
- Support annual website content governance and content review initiatives.
- Assist with SEO implementation and content optimization.
- Participate in website testing before content is published and coordinate website issue tracking and follow-up.
- Maintain website documentation, standards, and governance processes.
- Develop, build, and execute email marketing campaigns in Marketo, including program setup, landing pages, segmentation, and automations.
- Assist with campaign quality assurance and testing.
- Maintain email templates and program setup in Marketo, and support marketing automation workflows.
- Assist with coordination of Marketo and Salesforce integration activities.
- Assist with delivery of website and campaign performance reports (Google Analytics, Looker Studio) and help maintain marketing dashboards.
- Assist with data quality and marketing operations projects.
- Support marketing technology audits.
- Support project management activities using Monday.com.
- Research industry trends and incorporate digital marketing best practices to inform strategy.
- Assist in the documentation of unit processes that support workflows or address challenges.
- Assist with management of technology vendors, budget inputs and services, adoption, and performance metrics.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing, marketing, and/or a related role.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with WordPress.
- Experience with website content, email campaigns, SEO, and analytics.
- Experience working with accessibility tools or implementing accessibility enhancements is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, business, advertising, or related field.
Skills
- Experience managing website content using WordPress or a compatible content management system.
- Familiarity with MarTech platforms and UX/UI tools such as Google Analytics, Figma, SEO tools, or CMS.
- Working knowledge of digital accessibility standards (WCAG) and remediation best practices preferred.
- Experience supporting digital performance reporting or MarTech operations.
- Experience with Marketo for email marketing, automation, and reporting or a comparable management system.
- Analytical and data-driven knowledge with proficiency in reporting dashboards and interpreting performance trends.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and balance multiple projects with varying timelines and stakeholders.

Pay
$57,728 - $72,160/year. The offered rate typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade but may vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
