Digital Marketing Specialist

GOLFZON · Kissimmee, FL · 1 wk ago
On-siteMarketingFull-time

About the role

We are hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist to own and drive our global organic marketing function. This is a hands-on, content-first role for someone who loves golf, understands digital audiences, and is ready to own our social media, email, and content strategy from day one. This role reports directly to the GOLFZON Marketing Director, who will also conduct the annual year-end performance review alongside GOLFZON Marketing management. Day-to-day, you will work closely with GOLFZON Leadbetter’s management team and our paid advertising consultant to drive organic growth—creating content, managing email funnels, writing for the blog, and building campaigns that attract both new golf instructors into our certification programs and new operators to license a GOLFZON Leadbetter Academy. This is not a coordination or admin role; we need someone who produces, publishes, and pushes the business forward without waiting to be asked.

Schedule

This is a full-time, in-office role based at Reunion Resort, Orlando, Florida, with one work-from-home day per week. The successful candidate must travel to GOLFZON headquarters in Virginia once per quarter for team meetings and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Content & Social Media
    • Plan and manage a monthly content calendar across Instagram, YouTube, and other organic channels
    • Produce high-quality content — graphics, short-form video, reels, and written posts — that engages a global golf audience
    • Shoot and edit short-form video content at the academy and remotely
    • Grow our organic following and engagement on Instagram and YouTube
    • Collaborate with our paid ads consultant to align organic content with paid campaigns
  • Email Marketing & Funnels
    • Build, manage, and optimize email marketing funnels using HubSpot (or agreed CRM)
    • Develop automated sequences for lead nurturing, instructor recruitment, and licensee prospects
    • Write compelling email copy that drives opens, clicks, and conversions
    • Monitor and report on email performance metrics monthly
  • Blog & Organic Reach
    • Write regular SEO-optimised blog content that positions GLA as the authority in golf instruction and coaching development
    • Identify keyword opportunities and implement on-page SEO improvements across academy websites
    • Keep academy websites updated for new openings, programs, and events
  • Golf Instructor & Licensee Recruitment
    • Create organic campaigns specifically designed to attract golf coaches and aspiring instructors into our certification programs
    • Develop creative approaches to selling certification — including the career pathway angle (“get certified, get hired”)
    • Build targeted email and social sequences aimed at prospective academy licensees globally
    • Support the Global Operations Director in building and managing a lead list of prospective licensee locations
  • GDR MAX & Coaching Platform
    • Create content and campaigns to support the launch and growth of our GDR MAX education
    • Support promotion of the GOLFZON Leadbetter coaching platform across digital channels
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across all products
  • Reporting & Strategy
    • Deliver a monthly performance report covering organic social, email, blog, and website metrics
    • Proactively bring ideas and new approaches to management
    • Manage the marketing budget allocation for tools, software, and content spend
    • Support occasional event activations, representing GOLFZON Leadbetter at golf events, trade shows, and academy launches as required

Requirements

  • 2–4 years’ experience in digital marketing with a strong content and email focus
  • AI-savvy: actively uses AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate content production
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (preferred, not essential)
  • Demonstrable experience managing organic social media channels (Instagram and YouTube essential)
  • Proven email funnel and automation work — candidates must be able to show examples
  • Strong copywriting skills: clear, engaging, and on-brand across all channels
  • Proficiency with video shooting and editing tools (Canva, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
  • Proficiency with graphic design tools (Canva essential; Adobe Suite a plus)
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles and blog content strategy
  • Experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM/email platform
  • Golf knowledge or a genuine, demonstrable passion for the game — non-negotiable
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills: owns their calendar, builds their schedule, doesn’t wait to be managed
  • Able to work flexibly and proactively across time zones (global team)
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
