Digital Marketing Specialist
Job Summary
The Digital Marketing Specialist supports the Senior Digital Manager and the VP of Digital Marketing in day‑to‑day digital operations. This role maintains and updates Affinity‑affiliated websites; builds and optimizes Google Business Profiles and directory listings to strengthen clinic visibility across AI assistants and AI‑driven search, publishes content and structured data, and manages the digital marketing ticket queue to resolve clinic requests, issues, and reporting needs. The ideal candidate demonstrates high accuracy across a large multi‑location portfolio, consistent follow‑through and ownership of assigned work, and a drive to build expertise in a rapidly evolving search landscape while pushing the boundaries of digital marketing in the veterinary industry.
Responsibilities
- Carry out AI searchability improvements set by senior leadership: publish content structured to answer real pet owner questions, add and correct schema markup, clean up on‑page details, and keep service, provider, and hours information identical everywhere AI tools read it.
- Build out and maintain Google Business Profiles and directory listings for every location in Yext, ensuring each clinic is complete, accurate, and easy for AI assistants and local search to surface.
- Work the digital marketing ticket system daily: intake, triage, and resolve clinic requests, issues, and reporting needs; keep requesters updated, escalate as needed, and close the loop.
- Execute website updates across Affinity’s affiliated sites, including service and provider pages, hours, promotions, landing pages, and new clinic pages, ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and LLM search‑readability.
- Support paid media execution on Yelp, Reddit, Meta ads, and Google Ads by building and editing campaigns, writing and loading ad copy and assets, monitoring budget pacing, and managing campaign performance.
- Partner with clinic teams to plan, source, and publish blog content that answers real pet owner questions, building topical authority for AI assistants and search engines.
- Distribute and schedule local content through centralized platforms (Yext, Semrush, HubSpot) and verify correct publication across all clinics.
- Monitor reviews and clinic content on Google, Yelp, and other platforms; route items needing clinic response, assist teams in responding, and flag patterns.
- Serve as day‑to‑day point of contact for outside vendors and platform partners (HubSpot, Meta, Google, Yext), coordinating support requests, troubleshooting, staying current on new features and beta opportunities, and ensuring accounts, integrations, and data feeds are properly configured.
- Run the digital checklist for new clinic launches: create and verify listings, publish website pages, implement tracking, and launch campaigns on schedule.
- Pull and distribute recurring performance reporting for clinics and leadership, keep dashboards current, and flag anomalies proactively.
- Help manage content scheduling and posting for organic and paid social media on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Support email marketing initiatives: build and segment lists, create campaign flows, schedule sends, and track performance metrics in HubSpot.
- Keep documentation current: process steps, trackers, and clinic‑facing how‑to materials to enable repeatable work and self‑service for clinics.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, especially changes in how AI assistants and search engines surface local businesses and deliver recommendations.
