Digital Marketing Manager, Paid Search
About the role
Tanium is seeking a strategic, data-driven Paid Search Manager to own and scale our paid search and video performance. This role will play a critical part in contributing to pipeline growth, owning global paid search and video programs across Google & Microsoft on the Digital team. You'll define strategy, manage budgets, optimize performance, build testing roadmaps, and deliver insights that shape our broader digital advertising approach. We're looking for someone who has strong analytical skills combined with creative instincts to drive brand awareness, boost conversions, and unlock revenue opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end strategy and execution of global paid search and video campaigns across Google & Microsoft, including platform-specific optimization
- Own quarterly and monthly budget planning and daily pacing across paid search/video
- Create dashboards and a reporting cadence that enables transparent communication of campaign performance
- Ensure rigorous and reliable measurement by implementing consistent naming conventions, tracking parameter management, and conversion event tracking setup
- Partner with the Web team on landing page strategy and A/B testing initiatives to improve on-page conversion rates for paid traffic and drive continuous optimization
- Partner with Integrated Campaigns team to drive creative and content that will perform; ensure creative is refreshed at the right cadence
- Collaborate with organic search counterpart to align paid and organic strategies, share keyword insights, and optimize holistic search performance
- Gather insights from product and content marketing on messaging, keyword, and competitive insights to drive stronger ad relevance, engagement, and conversion
- Stay current on platform algorithm changes and emerging ad technologies (e.g., AI-driven bidding, agentic campaign tools) to keep channel strategy ahead of the curve
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of B2B Digital Marketing experience
- 6+ years of Google & Microsoft Platform experience managing Paid Search, YouTube & Demand Generation campaigns
- Strong bias toward action and measurable outcomes; results-driven
- Analytical and process-driven approach to campaign optimization
- Attention to detail and a transparent written and verbal communication style
- Familiarity with Marketo, Salesforce, and GA4 — comfortable working across the ad platform to CRM data flow to troubleshoot tracking gaps and validate conversion accuracy
Skills
- Proficiency in Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, including Search, YouTube, and Performance Max campaign types
- Experience with A/B testing methodologies and conversion rate optimization practices
- Working knowledge of marketing automation and analytics tools such as Marketo, Salesforce, and GA4
- Clear and transparent written and verbal communication style suited to cross-functional collaboration

Pay
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 to $135,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
