About the role

BioTouch is a single-source, international provider for all mission-critical kitting and logistics needs. We partner with a wide range of medical facilities and healthcare providers to bring a higher level of care to healthcare delivery. The Digital Manufacturing Specialist bridges Product Development (PD) and the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) team, ensuring kits and workflows are onboarded accurately into BioTouch's Tulip and KitAI platforms. The immediate focus is training our KitAI vision models on our medical kits and serving as the platform SME at our facilities. This role also acts as the internal Tulip expert for PD and Account Management and contributes to automation and technology improvements on the production floor. This position will be located at our Columbus, GA facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding & Support: Train and validate KitAI vision models for medical kits; lead all KitAI onboardings and support models after go-live.
  • Platform SME: Serve as the KitAI subject matter expert across facilities, providing troubleshooting and rapid response for high-priority or non-standard onboarding needs.
  • Tulip Expertise: Act as the internal expert on Tulip capabilities and limitations; configure workflows and stations for new and existing kits, and guide PD and Account Management through onboarding and implementation.
  • Kit & Process Onboarding: Interpret product specifications, labels, and kit requirements; partner with PD, Enterprise Account Managers, and Implementation Partners to translate customer requirements into accurate MES configurations with traceability and regulatory alignment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to onboarding and floor operations, with a focus on automation and technology; help develop standards that improve first-pass yield and reduce onboarding cycle times.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure alignment between MES and PD; lead discussions with incomplete information and drive teams to clear decisions and action items.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions and document configurations and user guidance clearly.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; organized, detail-oriented, and reliable on follow-through.
  • Systems-thinking mindset and creative problem-solving in digital manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

  • BS in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • New graduates with relevant internship or project experience are encouraged to apply.
  • 0–2 years of experience with digital production platforms, MES, or technical implementation preferred, but not required.
