About the role

PwC’s operations consulting specialists focus on optimising operational efficiency and effectiveness. They analyze client needs, develop operational strategies, and provide guidance to help clients streamline processes, improve productivity, and drive business performance. In product development and manufacturing, they specialise in enhancing product development and manufacturing processes, working with clients to improve speed to market, reduce costs, and increase quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with clients to analyse product development lifecycles, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies to enhance speed to market, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  • Provide guidance on implementing lean manufacturing principles, optimising supply chain integration, and leveraging digital technologies.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, and manage and inspire others.
  • Anticipate client needs and deliver quality work.
  • Manage ambiguity and use it as an opportunity for growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in product development and manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of success in project management and client consultations for global professional services firms.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with digital manufacturing applications, digital twins, digital manufacturing strategy development, and industrial IoT and cloud solutions.
  • Ability to lead and manage a diverse team, including building and maintaining client relationships, problem-solving, and influencing client resources.
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling, proposal development, and client presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in fields such as aerospace engineering, automotive engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, computer engineering, or related fields.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with digital automation and manufacturing decision support analytics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and develop value cases.

  • Effective use of tools, methodologies, and techniques to generate new ideas and solve problems.
  • Critical thinking to break down complex concepts.
  • Understanding of broader project objectives and how work fits into the overall strategy.
  • Reflection to develop self-awareness, enhance strengths, and address development areas.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $77,000 - $202,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and applicable employment laws.

Schedule

This is a full-time position.
