Digital Literacy Program Educator
About the Role
Deliver high-quality digital literacy education and skill instruction using established curriculums at sites throughout the county as designated by the digital literacy program coordinator. Utilize a variety of educational methods, which may include direct teaching, group experiences, media, newsletters, electronic technology, internet, and distance learning to deliver the program. Serve as a subject matter resource using existing materials. Collaborate with community agencies as needed to facilitate programs and activities. Assist in ensuring a safe, positive, and supportive atmosphere during all meetings and activities. Represent CCE professionally before the public, community leaders, government officials, Cornell, or other land-grant universities as part of program delivery.
Responsibilities
- Deliver digital literacy education using established curriculums and diverse instructional methods.
- Serve as a subject matter resource and collaborate with community agencies.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all program activities.
- Represent the organization professionally in public and official settings.
- Assist with problem-solving and conflict resolution within the program, following policies and procedures.
- Support budget implementation by tracking expenses and assisting with purchasing.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities and maximize existing resources.
- Maintain effective relationships with the public through various communication channels (in-person, phone, email, correspondence).
- Process and manage class enrollments, event registrations, and related payments while ensuring data accuracy, security, and confidentiality.
- Create and maintain organized program files and databases.
- Assist in preparing program support materials and coordinating meetings, appointments, and events.
- Provide backup and support to other program areas as needed.
- Prepare and submit accurate expense reports, mileage reports, receipts, and vouchers in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of all collected, accessed, or maintained data and information.
- Provide data and information to assist in preparing reports, impact statements, and success stories for funders and stakeholders.
- Transport self and/or program materials/resources necessary for performing job duties.
