About the Internship

Polaris D&IT Predictive Data Science Internship is a 12-week paid summer internship designed for emerging juniors and seniors interested in applying data science, analytics, and AI to solve real business challenges within the global powersports industry. As a Predictive Data Science Intern, you will work with large datasets to uncover insights, build predictive models, and develop data-driven recommendations that support business decisions across Polaris.

Projects may include analyzing customer, dealer, supply chain, and operational data to identify trends, improve forecasting, optimize processes, and drive business performance. You will partner with cross-functional teams across analytics, technology, operations, and the business to turn data into actionable solutions and meaningful outcomes.

Location

D&IT interns are typically based at Polaris Headquarters in Medina, MN, where they collaborate closely with technology, analytics, and business teams across the organization. Interns must embrace adaptability to gain diverse experiences and develop a broader skill set.

Selection Process

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the fall. Selected candidates will participate in a phone screen followed by a virtual interview with Polaris HR leaders. Offers are extended to successful candidates, with internship assignments finalized in February based on candidate interests, strengths, and business needs.

Relocation Assistance

Polaris provides relocation support for eligible interns working 35+ miles from their assigned location. Benefits may include a relocation stipend and assistance with securing temporary housing. Interns are responsible for daily transportation to and from the work location.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Data Science or a related business degree with an intended graduation date between August 2027 - May 2029.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Must commit to a full 12-week internship, working 40 hours per week, within one of the following date ranges: May 17th – August 6th, 2027 or May 31st – August 20th, 2027.
  • Open to geographic mobility and relocation opportunities.
  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
  • Must have reliable transportation for daily commuting to and from the office.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office software tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship/co-op experience or involvement in relevant projects.
  • Previous leadership experience in work, organizations, or classroom.
  • Demonstrated strengths in analysis, creative problem-solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership.
  • Interest in future career opportunities and continued growth within Polaris.
  • Completion of at least two years of university coursework.

Pay

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $23.50 to $32.00 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime. Individual pay and positioning within the range are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
