Digital Delivery Consultant – Civil 3D & Rail Infrastructure
About the role
This Opportunity WSP is initiating a search for a Digital Solutions Consultant – Civil 3D & Rail Infrastructure to support the Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) Redevelopment Program Management team in Newark, New Jersey.
Responsibilities
- Represent Digital Delivery for Civil 3D and rail infrastructure initiatives across the EWR Airport Redevelopment Program.
- Support program-wide digital delivery standards, workflows, and BIM requirements for aviation, rail, roadway, utility, guideway, and site development projects.
- Track Design-Builder compliance with digital delivery requirements, BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), contract specifications, and program standards.
- Review Civil 3D models, rail and track deliverables, engineering documentation, and project submissions for quality and compliance.
- Review contract documents, technical specifications, and digital delivery requirements for consistency and compliance.
- Facilitate coordination meetings with contractors, consultants, project teams, and client stakeholders to resolve digital delivery and model coordination issues.
- Support multidisciplinary model coordination across civil, rail, track, guideway, utilities, structural, systems, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
- Aid in reviews of rail and track alignments, profiles, corridor models, clearances, guideway interfaces, and related infrastructure components.
- Use Autodesk Forma (ACC) to support collaboration, issue management, design reviews, coordination workflows, and document management.
- Support constructability reviews, clash detection, and model coordination using Civil 3D, Navisworks, and Forma.
- Monitor digital delivery KPIs and support performance reporting for program leadership.
- Help develop and maintain digital delivery procedures, standards, templates, and best practices.
- Support project management teams with contract administration, deliverable reviews, schedule coordination, and performance tracking.
- Prepare reports, presentations, dashboards, and executive summaries on digital delivery performance and contractor compliance.
- Support asset information management, data validation, and digital handover efforts for operations and maintenance objectives.
- Guide project teams on Civil 3D workflows, BIM for Infrastructure practices, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and program requirements.
- Troubleshoot Civil 3D, coordination, and digital delivery issues with project teams and help implement solutions.
- Apply technology, automation, and improved workflows to strengthen project delivery and collaboration.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Information Management, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and digital delivery technologies in the A/E/C industry.
- Experience supporting transportation, aviation, rail, transit, or large infrastructure programs.
- Working knowledge of rail and track infrastructure, corridor modeling, transportation design workflows, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Experience reviewing engineering deliverables, design documentation, technical reports, BIM deliverables, project plans, and contractor submissions.
- Experience with Autodesk Forma (ACC), BIM Collaborate Pro, SharePoint, or similar document management platforms.
- Familiarity with Navisworks for model review, coordination, and clash detection.
- Understanding of BIM principles, digital delivery workflows, and model-based delivery practices.
- Ability to identify, assess, and resolve project coordination and digital delivery challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and organizations.
- Experience preparing project reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced project setting.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Transportation Engineering, Engineering Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Autodesk Certified Professional – Civil 3D.
- Experience supporting airport programs, rail systems, automated people movers (APM), transit, guideway, or transportation infrastructure projects.
- Experience with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), Employer Information Requirements (EIRs), and digital delivery governance.
- Familiarity with asset information management, digital turnover requirements, and operations and maintenance data integration.
- Experience supporting Design-Build project delivery.
- Working knowledge of GIS, data analytics, Power BI, digital twin technologies, or infrastructure information management workflows.
- Familiarity with Port Authority, FAA, FRA, FTA, or other transportation agency requirements.
Benefits
Compensation Expected Salary Range: $95,000 – $124,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, certifications, location, and overall fit for the role.
