Digital Content Producer

About the role

CBS Austin | Telemundo Austin is seeking a Digital Content Producer to join our multi-platform team. Our goal is to deliver digital and social content that matters to users—coverage that impacts their lives and can’t be found elsewhere. In this role, you’ll produce content for our website, app, and social media platforms, collaborate with the newsroom on multi-platform strategy, and support day-of content and ongoing editorial initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day production of content for website, app, and social media platforms
• Work with the newsroom team on multi-platform strategy and editorial initiatives
• Support day-of content planning and execution
• Manage content calendars, newsgathering logistics, and interview bookings
• Use video and graphics to enhance content across all platforms

Requirements

• Solid news judgment and ability to collect and confirm information from primary sources
• Ability to write compelling and accurate copy on deadline
• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to track and execute digital strategies and goals
• Proficiency with non-linear editing tools (e.g., Adobe, Premiere) and newsroom systems such as iNews
• Understanding of CMS tools and SEO guidelines for multiple platforms
• Experience with newsgathering, logistics, and content calendar management

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of newsroom experience at a commercial TV station or digital news platform preferred
• Familiarity with content management systems, social media platforms, and photo/video editing
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; additional practical experience considered
• Spanish fluency a plus
