About the role
The Digital Content Creator supports the Senior Digital Content Manager, Lead Digital Content Writer, and ICC Communications team with the development of high-quality copy for websites, marketing materials, communications, and other digital vehicles. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, and flexible, able to juggle multiple tasks and projects efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude. Willingness to assist other communications team members as needed is essential.
Responsibilities
- Creating and distributing the Industry Digest newsletter (weekly)
- Assisting in researching, editing, writing, and coordinating delivery of bylines for earned media
- Researching, editing, interviewing, writing, and coordinating delivery of Building Safety Journal articles
- Writing staff emails from HR (monthly)
- Researching, editing, and writing original content for websites, including the employee directory
- Executing email marketing initiatives for internal clients
- Reviewing the Weekly Roundup internal newsletter
- Monitoring the ICC Communications inbox
- Writing and distributing the employee newsletter (monthly)
- Writing, editing, and distributing monthly talking points for the ICC Board of Directors
- Supporting the writer for ICC Annual Conference scripts
- Leading the writing of talking points for keynote speeches for C-suite
- Leading the writing of Building Safety Month webpages and materials, including processing proclamations
- Proofreading and editing all department content, including eblasts
- Handling special assignments (e.g., ICC Pulse Podcast)
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (minimum)
- Knowledge of design and visual principles, with the ability to evaluate design choices critically while keeping the customer in mind
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple multifaceted projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent proofreading skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Familiarity with AP style
- Experience with Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Monday.com, and WordPress
- Experience in basic video production (a plus)
- Ability to take feedback and make necessary changes as requested by clients, stakeholders, or managers
- Must be able to work full-time (remote position)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer or desk
- Occasional standing, walking, and reaching to access files or office supplies
- Manual dexterity for typing, filing, and handling office equipment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, documents)
- Visual acuity to read printed and digital materials
- Auditory ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
- May need to climb stairs in a multi-level office building
- Ability to travel up to 20% annually

Pay
$65,000 – $75,000
