About the Company

Fox TV Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas (DMAs) and duopolies in 11 DMAs, such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Of these, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. The stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week and leverage viewer, distributor, and advertiser demand for FOX Network’s national content.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling, UX-focused content related to news, events, and topics relevant to local users and beyond, including text stories, photos/graphics, live streaming content, breaking news, and social media elements.
  • Engage and build loyalty among communities.
  • Serve as liaison to the newsroom, ensuring digital and social dominance.
  • Reach and engage users on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms.
  • Use social listening and analytics tools like Crowd Tangle, Google Analytics, Chartbeat, and Share Rocket to make informed editorial decisions.
  • Work with the FOX TV Stations' Group Content Team and other FTS markets to distribute high-interest stories at scale.
  • Adhere to set group standards and monitor real-time analytics.
  • Demonstrate responsibility for all equipment issued by FOX.
  • Comply with all FOX Corporate computer requirements and station policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with content management systems, video publishing, live streaming, and digital analytics tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong social media skills.
  • Compelling writing, storytelling, and copy-editing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently under daily pressure and successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience developing and publishing content, including news, on digital and social platforms preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, Communications, or related field with emphasis on digital publishing preferred.
  • Video and photo editing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
  • Regularly stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay

The pay rate/range for this role is $80,000.00–$84,000.00 annually, with the final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location.
