About the role

A leading digital streaming network seeks a Digital Asset Management Coordinator to ingest, validate, and organize media content in its digital asset management (DAM). This is a W2 employment, 9‑month assignment based onsite in New York, NY 10036.

Responsibilities

  • Ingest digital media assets into the DAM system — full‑length programming, marketing materials, images, audio, captions/subtitles, and supporting paperwork — following established ingest procedures and naming conventions.
  • Receive and process deliveries from internal teams and external vendors via tools such as Aspera and Signiant Media Shuttle, confirming completeness and correct labeling.
  • Apply accurate technical and descriptive metadata (security policies, codecs, frame rates, audio configurations, content details) conforming to controlled vocabularies; support accuracy of rights and restriction metadata (embargo, usage rights, expiration fields) as directed.
  • Perform post‑ingest quality control on video, image, audio, and paperwork elements to confirm distribution standards and specifications are met; flag or escalate issues.
  • Monitor ingest queues and workflows, troubleshoot failed or stalled ingests, and escalate system issues to DAM Operations and Enterprise Technology.
  • Support migration and validation of legacy digital assets and physical media (LTO, DVD‑R, Digibeta, HDCamSR) stored on network servers, drives, and other media awaiting ingest.
  • Participate in testing new ingest workflows, automations, and system upgrades.
  • Track ingest requests, priorities, and status in tools such as Smartsheet or Airtable; keep requesters informed.
  • Assist internal teams with asset uploads, downloads, file sharing, and metadata corrections.
  • Onboard and support internal users and external vendors on delivery requirements.
  • Maintain process documentation and recommend improvements for recurring ingest errors or metadata inconsistencies.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in digital asset management, media operations, post‑production, or a related media and entertainment role (internship or entry‑level experience considered).
  • Working knowledge of film, video, audio, and digital file formats — codecs, frame rates, aspect ratios, audio configurations, caption and subtitle formats.
  • Familiarity with file transfer applications such as Aspera and Signiant Media Shuttle.
  • Proficiency on Mac and PC and with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Smartsheet or Airtable (preferred).
  • Experience with OpenText Media Management or another DAM system (preferred).
