About the role
The Digital Services Area Service Manager will be a key leader in the growth and execution of the Trane Digital Services strategy. This role can work from Moon Township, PA, Valley View, OH, Columbus, OH, or Toledo, OH.
You will manage all aspects of the Digital Services Area Team, including service agreement execution and compliance, project execution from beginning to end, customer satisfaction, hiring and training of Controls Technicians, and driving the growth and adoption of Digital Services across our portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Partner with peers in goal setting for the Area’s Digital Services plan and be accountable for strategy and performance achievement of the operating plan.
- Oversee all aspects of Digital Service Agreements, warranty execution of controls projects, emergency controls service needs, and project planning for controls quoted work, including identifying and prioritizing projects, work orders, and change requests.
- Partner closely with Sales Leaders and Account Managers on strategy and achievement of revenue and operating income targets.
- Assess Service Controls talent for current and future business needs; develop talent development strategy and workforce plan.
- Serve as a key contact for customers to ensure satisfaction and manage budgets for assigned projects.
- Meet with sales associates, contractors, and owners to discuss project scope, budgets, performance, and close-out.
- Confirm Trane’s ability to meet project performance and financial requirements by analyzing customer data, project data, and implementation issues.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and staff.
- Establish professional relationships with customers and provide accurate status reports and project reviews.
- Hire, manage, and develop Controls Service Technicians.
- Monitor service personnel effectiveness and efficiency in relation to customer service and operating plan goals.
- Flexibility to work outside normal work hours or weekends, as required.
- Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business, or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in an industrial sales business setting.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in managing teams of people, processes, and budgets.
- Knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations (e.g., DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving) or multiple smaller infractions/preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
Pay
Annual Base Salary Range: $90,900.00 - $130,059.99 (salary). Incentive eligible. This role is not sales commission eligible.
