About the Firm

Sorren is a top 50 national advisory firm that blends deep expertise with a human-first approach. We work with people, building lasting relationships and delivering strategic solutions in accounting, assurance, tax, advisory, and private client services. Our culture fosters collaboration, innovation, and professional growth, ensuring every team member has the support and opportunities to thrive. We offer a high-performing yet balanced work environment where career development and personal well-being go hand in hand.

About the Practice

We are launching a new Digital Advisory practice—including a value-added reseller (VAR) practice—to help middle-market clients modernize their core business systems and derive measurable value from technology. We advise, select, implement, and optimize modern ERP and connected business platforms, specializing in four verticals: healthcare, construction, not-for-profit, and manufacturing. Deep industry expertise is central to our differentiation, and relevant experience in these industries is highly valued across all roles.

This is a build-from-the-ground-up opportunity. As a founding member, you will help shape service offerings, delivery methodology, partner alliances, and culture—backed by the brand and client base of an established firm. We are selecting anchor platform partners from leading mid-market ERP and business-application publishers, and early team members will help define this ecosystem.

About the Role

The Senior Consultant for Automation, Integration & AI is a hands-on builder who connects and extends clients’ ERP and business platforms. You will design integrations, process automations, and applied-AI solutions that transform systems into a connected, intelligent operation. Working alongside the Solution Architect, you will own automation, integration, and AI workstreams end-to-end and help define accelerators and reference patterns to make these capabilities repeatable across engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Integration: Design and build integrations between ERP, CRM, and connected SaaS/on-premises applications using iPaaS/middleware, APIs (REST/SOAP), events, and webhooks. Own data migration, transformation, and pipeline work for implementations.
  • Automation: Design and deliver workflow and process automations—low-code/no-code, RPA, and event-driven—to streamline client operations and reduce manual effort. Identify automation opportunities during discovery and translate them into pragmatic, maintainable solutions.
  • Applied AI: Design and implement applied-AI solutions—intelligent document processing, LLM-based assistants/copilots, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflows—embedded into client business processes. Apply AI responsibly, with attention to security, data governance, accuracy, and guardrails.
  • Delivery & Practice-Building: Partner with the Solution Architect on connected-system architecture and help build the practice’s automation, integration, and AI accelerators, reference patterns, and playbooks. Support demos, scoping, and estimates for automation/integration/AI workstreams, and maintain high client satisfaction and target billable utilization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building integrations and automations in a consulting or enterprise environment, including hands-on work connecting ERP/CRM and SaaS applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with integration/iPaaS platforms, APIs, and data transformation, plus solid development skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL).
  • Demonstrated delivery of process automation (workflow automation, RPA, or low-code) and practical, applied-AI capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of modern AI patterns—LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, intelligent document processing, or agentic workflows—with a pragmatic view of their value.
  • Ability to run workstreams independently, manage client relationships, and communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience embedding automation and AI into ERP or business-process contexts, and familiarity with at least one of our target industries: healthcare, construction, not-for-profit, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and relevant integration, automation, or AI/ML certifications.
  • Exposure to building delivery methodology, accelerators, or reusable technical assets.

Pay

Target base salary range of $120,000–$160,000, plus a utilization/performance bonus. This range reflects the market premium for strong integration and applied-AI skills, and exceptional candidates may be considered above the range. Actual compensation is influenced by skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Discretionary incentive compensation is based on firm, group, and individual performance.

Benefits

  • Generous paid time off
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus life and disability insurance
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Paid holidays, including a firmwide winter break (December 24 – January 1)
  • Paid parental leave (available after one year of service)
  • Mentorship and career development programs
  • CPA exam support
  • Firm-sponsored events and team activities
  • Celebrations for milestones like the end of busy season and holidays

Benefits are available to full-time employees regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week.
