About the role

Act as nutritional consultant and resource to members of the health care team. Provides comprehensive nutritional care including assessment, Nutrition Diagnosis, implementation of a care plan, counseling, education, and evaluation of outcomes to patients, families, and associates. Coordinates various education programs and seminars on nutritional topics.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive care for a wide variety of medical and surgical patients, and enteral and parenteral nutrition management.

Requirements

• Educational requirements based on date of RD/RDN credential acquisition.
• One year clinical experience as a RD in a healthcare setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and work with medical, nursing and other health care professionals, patients, and their families.

Skills

• Ability to read, write and speak English; use and understand medical terminology.
• Follow oral and written instructions; perform arithmetic calculations.
