About the role

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a full-time inpatient role at Bridgeport Hospital, a 400-bed level 2 trauma center and teaching hospital in Bridgeport, CT. Bridgeport Hospital is part of the Yale New Haven Health System and houses Connecticut’s only burn center.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional nutrition care to patients on inpatient units
  • Be well versed in Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) and Malnutrition Identification
  • Work every 5th weekend and rotating holidays providing hospital-wide coverage
  • Participate in performance improvement and/or outcome measurement initiatives
  • Be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clinical documentation
  • Strong time management skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nursing and ancillary staff

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by ACEND
  • Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by CDR and will become registered within 120 days of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
