Dietitian (RD/RDN) - Diabetes/Endocrinology

About the role

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a full-time Outpatient Diabetes Dietitian position at Central Maine Healthcare in Lewiston, ME.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong working knowledge of general nutrition and diabetes nutrition.
• Demonstrate competency in nutrition assessment, care planning, and counseling for the outpatient population.
• Complete clinical documentation in EPIC electronic medical record (EMR).
• Serve as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team, with involvement in group education classes, committees, and community outreach events as needed.
• Participate in performance improvement and/or outcome measurement initiatives.
• Mentor/coach Dietetic Interns.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian credential with licensure in the state of Maine, CDCES credential strongly preferred.
• Two years of experience, preferably in outpatient counseling and/or diabetes care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and interdisciplinary team members at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing needs.
• A history of working independently with little direction and with a positive outlook.
• A commitment to continued education in the nutrition field.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by ACEND.
• Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by CDR and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
• In some states and/or facilities, the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire.
• Minimum Functional Experience: 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision.
