Dietitian - PRN

Role Overview

Provides comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy to inpatients with various medical conditions, including assessments, physical exams, diet education, and nutrition support recommendations. Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational standards while embodying core values.

Responsibilities

• Consults with physicians and health professionals regarding patients' nutritional needs and diet plans.
• Develops and documents nutrition assessment, evaluation, follow-up, and treatment plans for at-risk patients.
• Provides diet rationale education for both inpatients and outpatients.
• Participates in clinical rounds, departmental meetings, and cross-training in specialized units such as Neonatal ICU and Pediatrics.
• Reviews current literature, presents findings, and shares case studies with peers annually.
• Attends professional meetings, maintains documentation, and contributes to professional development.
• Engages in education material development, policy updates, or nutrition projects as directed.
• Provides coverage for outpatient and inpatient services as delegated.
• Maintains current credentials and participates in licensing and competency requirements.
• Active in professional organizations and participates in surveys and organizational activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Food & Nutrition Science plus accredited dietetic internship; Master's degree preferred if completed after January 2024.
• 5-7 years of clinical nutrition experience; or 3-4 years with recognized specialty certification.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) and DC licensure required upon hire; specialty certification preferred.

Pay

Salary range of USD $72,758 to USD $130,041 annually.
