Dietitian - FT - Days
About the role
This position involves planning, developing, and providing diet interventions, medical nutrition therapy, nutrition care, and preventive counseling to individuals and groups across various healthcare settings. The role also includes monitoring nutritional care, implementing nutrition therapy, educating on diet according to disease state, managing chronic conditions, and participating in clinical performance improvement activities.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements individualized care plans for clients/patients/residents based on nutritional assessments and provider order recommendations.
- Monitors and evaluates the outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions and adjusts plans as necessary.
- Evaluates treatments or procedures for effectiveness using an evidence-based approach.
- Works on nutrition care protocols and leads the health care team in the implementation of nutrition therapies.
- Provides education and counseling on diet and disease state management.
- Assists in designing and updating clinical education materials for clients/patients/residents, families, and caregivers.
- Performs quality control and adheres to infection control mechanisms to ensure patient safety.
- Participates in clinical performance improvement activities and research to test new treatments or procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in dietetics or food and nutrition from an ACEND accredited program.
- Post-graduate internship experience required.
- Currently holds a Registered Dietitian (RD) license within the applicable state(s).
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.

- Ability to recognize and evaluate nutritional needs based on cultural, ethnic, and religious beliefs.
- Knowledge of evidence-based approaches to treatment and procedure evaluation.
- Experience in leading and implementing nutrition care protocols.
- Strong communication and education skills.
- Ability to manage chronic conditions and educate on diet.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $29.00 - $41.50 per hour, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for a two-year commitment or a $15,000 sign-on bonus for a three-year commitment.
Schedule
The shift is a day shift and the job schedule is full-time with 40.00 weekly hours.
