About the role

Responsible for working with nutritionists to improve patient's well-being by providing dietary support. Provides nutritional care and follows up with patients. Communicates patient's nutritional information appropriately to other health professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Captures and coordinates patient's meal plans with healthcare professionals and nutritionists.
  • Takes patient meal orders via phone and at the bedside.
  • Aids in meal selections considering cultural and/or religious preferences.
  • Maintains and modifies patient meal tickets to comply with prescribed diet orders.
  • Efficiently processes new diets, changes, tube feedings, and NPO orders while keeping accurate records.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-3 years of prior experience.
  • Prior experience in a call center or healthcare setting preferred.
