Duties and Responsibilities
- Development of and participation in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timely in-service training classes.
- Participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timely in-service training classes.
- Provide instructions on 'how to do the job' through in-service training classes.
- Ensure a well-educated Food Services Department through in-service training classes.
- Coordinate food services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Nursing, Environmental, Activity and Social Services, etc.)
- Prepare and submit written and oral reports/recommendations to the Dietitian and/or Administrator as necessary/required concerning the operation of the Food Services Department.
- Process diet changes and new diets as received from nursing services.
Requirements
- 6 months in a dietary position
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Be able to interpret and implement written or oral policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Communicate effectively.
- 1-3 months related experience or training.
- Requires knowledge of special diets.
