DIETARY SERVICES DIRECTOR - PARKVIEW HEALTH AND REHABILITATION CENTER

About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Dietary Services Director at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. Our facility promotes a challenging yet rewarding environment where you can make a significant impact.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and supervise Dietary Services staff to ensure quality dietary services.
• Assume responsibility as Dietary Services Director in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Facility policies and procedures.
• Coordinate food service to ensure patients receive nutritious, attractive, and timely diets as prescribed by their physicians, following the approved corporate menu cycle.
• Participate in Care Plans and MDS conferences, completing nutritional assessments and dietary sections of MDS.
• Prepare and monitor work schedules for dietary services staff.
• Maintain orientation and training of dietary services employees according to Facility policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from a Dietary Manager Training program approved by the Dietary Managers Association and pass the National Certification exam.
• Keep current certification by attending seminars and/or workshops, completing at least 45 hours every three years.
• Knowledgeable in cost accounting, record keeping, budget planning, menu planning, diet therapy, and purchasing procedures, as well as dietary management.
• Experience with MDS and the ability to accurately assess nutritional needs of residents.
• Leadership ability and organizational skills.
• Read, understand, and follow personnel, department, and Facility procedures.
• Comply with DMA Code of Ethics and Standards of Performance.
