Dietary Cook PT
About the Role
AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our team, working Monday-Friday from 5a-10a PT. We are looking for someone who is resident and family-focused, a team builder, and excited about contributing to our facility culture. The primary purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees, while strictly adhering to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards.
Responsibilities
- Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
- Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets based on individual resident nutritional needs.
- Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
- Test recipes and recommend changes.
- Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
- Direct the activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous office experience preferred.
- Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
- Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.
