About the role

Hillcrest Health & Rehab is seeking a dependable and service-minded Cook to join their culinary team in Bellevue, NE. This position is part-time with varied days and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious, appetizing, and colorful meals
• Follow food safety, sanitation, cleaning, and regulatory standards
• Prepare mechanically altered and therapeutically modified food items according to physician orders and care needs
• Maintain high standards of sanitation throughout the kitchen and assigned work areas
• Clean kitchen equipment according to established cleaning procedures
• Complete opening and closing procedures and secure culinary areas as required
• Complete daily documentation for dry, refrigerated, and frozen food storage areas
• Support a positive, respectful, and service-focused dining experience for residents, guests, and team members

Requirements

• At least two years of relevant experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety, and sanitation standards
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, diet orders, and production needs
• Comfort preparing meals for a variety of dietary needs and modified textures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Able to work independently while supporting the broader culinary team
• A flexible, team-first attitude and willingness to assist where needed
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and service-focused in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous culinary, food service, restaurant, healthcare, senior living experience preferred
