Dietary Cook (Healthcare)

About the role

Kadima at Greenville is seeking a compassionate Cook to prepare food in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as established policies and procedures. This role ensures quality food service is provided at all times under the direction of the Dietary Manager or designee. The Cook will also direct, evaluate, and monitor dietary staff, including issuing disciplinary actions and conducting performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and authorized food substitutes.
• Ensure meals are palatable, appetizing in appearance, and served following established portion control procedures.
• Prepare food for therapeutic diets based on planned menus and special diet orders.
• Assume responsibility for the tray line and serve on it as necessary.
• Prepare food using standardized recipes and special diet orders.
• Inspect special diet trays to confirm correct diets are served.
• Prepare and serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks.
• Ensure appropriate equipment and utensils are provided with resident meals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
