About the role

As a Dietary Aide at Paramount Community Living and Rehab, you will play a crucial role in providing nutritious and appealing meals to residents in our skilled nursing facility. You will assist with meal preparation, serving food, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring that dietary needs are met according to individual resident care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and serving meals to residents
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to food safety protocols
• Adhere to residents' dietary restrictions and preferences, reporting any deviations or concerns
• Assist with inventory control, checking and storing food supplies, and reporting any shortages or expired items
• Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, addressing any food-related concerns or preferences
• Work closely with other dietary staff, nurses, and caregivers to ensure seamless meal service and address resident needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a food service or healthcare setting is a plus but not required
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs, standing and walking for extended periods, and capability to handle hot and cold food items

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team environment
