Dietary Assistant

We are looking for a Server/Culinary Assistant for Lake City Care Center, which provides transitional and long-term care in Lake City, MN. This role focuses on dining room meal service for senior residents and maintaining kitchenette supplies.

Responsibilities

• Serves prepared meals to residents and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction with their meal service
• Sanitizes equipment, work areas, and maintains supplies
• Assists with meal prep and special events
• Provides kitchen support when needed with dish washing and cleaning of floors
• Answers phones and communicates requests appropriately

Requirements

• Must work a minimum of three shifts per month, including two weekend shifts per month and one holiday per year
• Evening shift, on-call/casual
• No previous experience required, but prefer work experience in a customer service setting
• Excellent customer service skills and proficiency, teamwork, and positive demeanor required
• Desire to work with seniors
• Ability to interact compassionately and communicate effectively with residents and staff
