Dietary Aide (PRN)

Description

Part-time, rotating shift position.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals timely and ensure they are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Perform proper setting of tables and set up meal trays, food cards, and dining room.
• Serve resident meals in the dining room, private dining room, and deliver trays to resident's rooms/apartments.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures.
• Ensure utensils and other items are readily available for the next meal.
• Follow safety regulations and precautions at all times.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensure all dietary procedures are followed according to established policies.
• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations and established policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Previous experience in food service preferred.
• Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred.
• Must possess outstanding communication skills and be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must possess superior customer service skills.
