Dietary Aide Part Time PM Shift (3p-7p)

Responsibilities

• Portioning and serving of food items
• Delivering trays and carts to resident floors
• Cleaning of dining rooms
• Working on the tray line
• Working in the dish room and pot sink
• Sweeping and mopping
• Disposal of trash and recyclables
• Perform duties as outlined by Director of Dietary
• Prepares meals, desserts, and snacks in accordance with the posted menu schedule, ensuring all special diets and dietary concerns are followed
• Serves meals that are palatable and presentable
• Keeps work area clean, organized, and sanitized; may include washing pots and pans
• Knows health code requirements for food and beverage storage and hot/cold holding temperatures; maintains documentation
• Estimates and prepares food supplies to meet serving portions
• Maintains a safe, clean, and respectable work environment
• Attends and participates in continuing educational programs

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be interested in geriatrics
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Knowledgeable of dietary techniques and procedures
• Experience in cooking in a skilled nursing facility (for Cook position)
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and/or 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to perform job responsibilities
