Dietary Aide/Dishwasher PT

About the role

Location: Marble Hill, MO (part‑time). The role involves preparing and serving appetizing, nourishing, well‑balanced meals to meet the daily nutritional and special dietary needs of each resident, as well as assisting with dishwashing and cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle and store all food according to facility procedures and safe food‑handling guidelines.
• Assist with food preparation as assigned by the supervisor.
• Prepare food items according to standardized recipes while ensuring safe food‑handling practices.
• Use food supplies and equipment efficiently to prevent waste.
• Operate institutional food‑preparation and cleaning equipment (including dish machine) per manufacturer and supervisory directions.
• Follow proper cleaning and preventative‑maintenance schedules.
• Assist with set‑up of the food tray line or buffet dining.
• Assemble meals and trays for residents according to facility procedures.

Requirements

• One‑year experience in a food‑service institutional setting (preferred).
• Basic understanding of nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Understanding of person‑centered care.
• Ability to solve practical problems and manage a variety of concrete variables.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Working knowledge of professional standards of practice and ability to apply them on the job.
