Dietary Aide / Dietary / Full Time / Variable Shifts

Responsibilities

• Assembles prepared foods accurately for regular or modified diet trays, safely delivers trays to serving areas or to patients, and returns trays to clean-up areas.
• May prepare and serve between meal nourishments for patients.
• May work alone or as part of a team effectively on a moving assembly line in the main kitchen.
• Accurately and safely tend and load machines that clean food-service items or may hand wash items that are not machine washable.
• Delivers clean dishes and utensils to proper kitchen units.
• Thoroughly cleans work areas, tables, and cabinets.
• Observes infection control practices at all times.
• Thoroughly washes and cleans fruits and vegetables and peels, dices, shreds, or slices them using kitchen hand utensils.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a food service environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and reaching.
