Dietary Aide

Flexible full-time and part-time schedules available; weekend availability required. Pay starts at $16+/hr, depending on experience. Preference given to candidates with Skilled Nursing Facility experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow department procedures for storage of dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Ensure all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage is labeled and dated.
• Oversee proper food handling and utilization to prevent contamination, increase quality, and reduce cost.
• Suggest menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers and other supplies.
• Clean all food service equipment, kitchen, and food storage areas.
• Maintain proper food temperature during preparation and service; record temperatures according to policy.
• Assist with setup of the tray line.
• Assemble trays according to planned menu, tray tickets, portion sizes, resident food preferences, and diet orders within established time schedules.
• Assist in checking trays during service for accuracy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 months of related experience or training.
• Knowledge of special diets.
