TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is a growing company representing Mack Trucks and the servicing dealer for multiple product lines supporting the On Highway, Construction, and Agriculture Industries.
About the role
We are currently looking to hire Truck Technicians to perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, air brake systems, steering and suspension, driveline components, HVAC systems, and emissions systems.
- Carry out scheduled maintenance and complex repairs to ensure safe and reliable vehicle operation.
- Troubleshoot and analyze issues reported by drivers or customers and provide effective repair solutions.
- Utilize diagnostic software, OEM service information, and electronic testing equipment.
- Respond promptly to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
- Communicate job progress to supervisors and customers as needed.
- Complete service reports, order parts, and maintain accurate customer repair records.
- Field Technicians will go out on service calls.
Requirements
- Two-year technical degree and/or equivalent experience as a truck technician, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment technician.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, air brake systems, transmissions, steering and suspension, HVAC, hydraulic systems, and aftertreatment/emissions systems.
- Previous experience working on Mack and Volvo Trucks is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Positive attitude and desire to provide outstanding customer service.
- Computer, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Pay
$20.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
