Diesel Truck Mechanic / Technician, Road Service
Summary
The Heavy Truck / Diesel Mechanic position requires a strong mechanical aptitude. Our team of technicians service, including repair, install and maintain a variety of pieces of heavy equipment including hydrovacs, vac trucks, street sweeper, refuse and recycling equipment. Position Responsibilities include inspecting and troubleshooting equipment failures, performing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical repairs, conducting routine preventative maintenance, communicating with the Parts & Service teams on job progress and status changes, updating work order system, maintaining an organized and safe work area, shop tools and service vans.

Position Requirements/Qualifications
- Education from an accredited technical school in diesel engine/hydraulics/heavy equipment repair preferred but not required
- Valid CDL driver’s license (or ability to obtain a CDL)
- and a clean driver’s abstract
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
- 3+ years’ experience working in a mechanic / technician role
- Experienced with hydraulic and/or electrical work
Physical Demands
- Frequent exposure to noise, dust and dirt
- Frequent standing and walking
- Frequently required to lift and move moderately heavy objects (50lbs)
