Diesel Truck Mechanic
About the role
Peterbilt of Kansas City is seeking experienced Class 8 and Medium Duty truck technicians (Diesel Mechanic) for a challenging career in the transportation industry.
Responsibilities
- Perform electronic engine diagnostics and repairs (MX, Cummins, CAT).
- Perform diesel engine repair (MX, Cummins, CAT).
- Perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM).
- Perform ABS diagnostics and repairs.
- Perform HVAC diagnostics and repairs.
- Perform electrical systems diagnostics and repairs.
- Perform air brake diagnostics and repairs.
- Perform wheel end repairs and adjustments.
- Perform suspension and steering diagnostics and repairs.
- Perform PM maintenance accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to all warranty policies and procedures.
- Able to use electronic technical manuals and resources for diag and repair.
- Provide accurate documentation on repair orders.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, be able to multi-task, work well with coworkers, have good computer skills, and a strong desire to take care of customers.
Qualifications
- Must be capable of working on electronic engines (MX, Cummins, CAT engines) internal and external.
- Factory training available on specific systems and electronic diesel engines, CAT, Cummins, and MX Paccar.
Skills
Self-motivated, able to perform all tasks to the best of their ability, and willing to take advantage of all classroom and online OEM training made available.
