Diesel Technician/Mechanic - Experienced

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality repair services on construction equipment in order to meet customer needs in a responsive, friendly, educated, and timely manner
  • Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned construction equipment
  • Identifies problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel & electrical systems and executes solutions
  • Participates in Service Training programs for the development of skills and knowledge
  • Document all repairs and testing for customer and warranty repairs
  • Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and or management of the company

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • A 2-year technical school graduate is preferred
  • 1-year fleet or dealership experience in a diesel shop is required; 3-5 years preferred
  • Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team
  • Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs
  • Heavy equipment and or agricultural experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment
  • Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl
  • Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise

Pay

Starting at $32+/hr depending on experience.

Monday - Friday dayshift
