About the role
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Tanner, AL. $5000 Sign on Bonus! for external candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Applies documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
- Disassembles, inspects, cleans and reassembles engines and /or engine components
- Performs preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines
- Aids more experienced technicians with diagnostics and development of repair plans
- Completes required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens
- Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
- Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
- Adheres to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor

Technical skills
- Applies documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
- Conducts preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan
- Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
- Performs routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, battery testing, and load bank testing
- Conducts preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
- This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- Must have a current valid license for this role
- Role requires candidates with hands-on experience in RV power generation and Cummins diesel engines to support expanded service capabilities
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Must be 21 years of age or older for a CDL
