Direct-hire opportunity located in Jacksonville, FL. Shift: Monday–Friday, 2 PM–10 PM.
About the role
Perform company truck and trailer maintenance, including preventative maintenance. Diagnose and repair all classes of heavy-duty trucks and trailers bumper-to-bumper without supervision.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose diesel engines using manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools
- Overhaul and repair major engine components from all manufacturers
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems
- Service brakes, braking systems, transmissions, drivelines, hydraulics, and power-lift systems
Requirements
- Own required technician tool set
- Class A/B or C CDL license
- Ability to lift a minimum of 45 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and reliability
- Class 8 diesel technician experience
Qualifications
ASE certifications are preferred, especially all seven ASE Master Technician certifications (T-2 through T-8):
- T1 – Gasoline Engines
- T2 – Diesel Engines
- T3 – Drive Train
- T4 – Brakes
- T5 – Suspension & Steering
- T6 – Electrical/Electronic Systems
- T7 – Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC)
- T8 – Preventive Maintenance Inspection
Pay
Salary range is disclosed where required by local law. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
