Job Summary

We are seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Williston, ND. We offer a sign-on bonus, relocation, competitive pay, and benefits.

About the role

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic who can complete repairs on engine products in a service shop, perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools, maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles, adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies, and develop/certify on new and existing Cummins products.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform engine overhauls unassisted
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

Requirements

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs engine overhauls unassisted
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
• Willing to work in the field 25% to 50% of the time
• A current valid license is required for this role
• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
• This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
• This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
• This role requires applicant to be 21 years of age or older
• This role may require a CDL upon hire

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Locally Valid Driving Permit (Preferred)

Skills

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
