Position Summary

At Republic Services, Technicians play a critical role in maintaining the performance and quality of our fleet. A Technician performs routine and preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks.

Technican Apprenticeship Program

Apprentice Training Experience

• Company-paid training at our brand-new state-of-the-art Republic Services Technical Institute in Dallas, Texas for 9 weeks.
• Additional 22 months of on-the-job training (OJT) that includes mentorship and virtual instructor-led technical content.

• Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities:
• We will provide the technical training you need to succeed in your apprenticeship.
• In return you need to be committed to completing this two-year program.
• Our ideal Technician Apprentice will be a logical problem solver with an interest in engineering and technology.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some nights/weekends or holidays.
• Willingness to uphold the values and expectations at Republic Services, including safety, ethics, and respect.
• Must be willing to travel to & live in Dallas, Texas for 9 weeks of in-person training.
• Training Starts 1 August 2026 in Dallas, TX.
• For transitioning service members and Veterans, GI Benefits can be used for MHA based on E-5 rate and zip code.

• Compensation:
• $16.00 an hour while in 9 weeks of training.
• $25.45 after graduation from the Tech Institute.
• Pay increase for completing 500 hours: $0.50 per hour for every 1000 hours.
