Diesel Technician Apprentice

About the role

Diesel Apprentices at Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores work in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. They assist customers with roadside services, learn preventative maintenance, and perform various mechanical tasks such as electrical, air conditioning, wheel end assembly, air system, air brakes, charging system, and basic computer diagnostics.

Responsibilities

- Assist customers with roadside services - Learn preventative maintenance services - Move, lift up to 75 pounds in close quarters - Operate in various temperature conditions - Prioritize customer safety and satisfaction - Work a rotating schedule alternating between day and night shifts - Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s)

Requirements

No prior professional experience required. Training provided.

- Mechanical aptitude - Strong interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Flexibility to work rotating shifts
