Diesel Technician Apprentice

About the role

Diesel Apprentices at Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores work in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. They assist customers with roadside services, learn preventative maintenance, and perform various mechanical tasks such as electrical, air conditioning, wheel end assembly, air system, air brakes, charging system, and basic computer diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services
• Learn preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
• Always prioritize the safety and satisfaction of your customers, adhering to company safety policies and procedures
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s)

Requirements

• No professional experience required
• Mechanically inclined
• Flexible scheduling ability
• Ability to work in various temperatures
• Passionate about learning and growing professionally

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
