About the Role
Diesel Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment maintaining clean, welcoming spaces and interacting with customers and drivers to improve their travels and day. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals with no professional experience—training is provided.
Apprentice Program Learning Objectives
- Electrical diagnostics and repairs
- Air conditioning & heating diagnostics and repairs
- Wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs
- Air system diagnostics and repairs
- Air brakes diagnostics and repairs
- Charging system diagnostics and repairs
- Basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement
- Parts lookup and acquisition
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with roadside services
- Learn and perform preventative maintenance services
- Move and lift 75+ pounds, working in close quarters
- Work in various temperatures
- Prioritize customer safety and satisfaction while complying with company safety policies and procedures
- Work a rotating schedule alternating between day and night shifts as needed
- Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s)
