Diesel Mechanic Trainee - Fleet Technician Trainee

Position Responsibilities

Responsible for accurately inspecting, repairing and completing routine maintenance of Fleet equipment.
Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system.
Learn and assist diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
Replaces defective components as instructed.
Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and perform tasks in outdoor settings.
Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.

Required Education And Experience

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) or Technical School Certification with 0 to 2 years of related experience
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles.
• Frequent lifting, pushing and/or pulling weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasional lifting, pushing and/or pulling weights in excess of 100 pounds.
