Diesel Mechanic/Technician C

About the role

Inspect, repair, and maintain equipment used to transport and handle freight, including single and tandem axle diesel over-the-road and city tractors, diesel city straight trucks, and propane and diesel-powered industrial forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Track completed and uncompleted work to maintain adequate production and meet service schedules and customer commitments.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on component parts and systems of trucks, tractors, converter gear, and forklifts.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or other types of breakdowns or potential failures.
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, cooling system tests, brake adjustments, and tire inflation.
• Repair or rebuild all or part of a system of assigned equipment as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• At least 6 months of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass a background check and alcohol and drug test.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Diesel Engine Repair experience.
• Automotive Diagnostics experience.
• Automotive Service experience.
• ASE Certification.
• Diesel Engine Certification.

Pay

$33.00–$40.45 per hour (pay may vary based on location and experience).
