Responsibilities
- Perform standard and preventive vehicle maintenance
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic issues
- Access and use internal and external maintenance documents
- Utilize diagnostic computers/software for repairs
- Provide remote triage to resolve roadside breakdowns
- Perform facility maintenance duties
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints
- Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
- Coach and mentor other level technicians
- Advise shop management on shop repairs
- Work in accordance with federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or Technical Certification
- Post-secondary degree or Technical Certifications preferred
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A
- ASE Certification in PM, Brakes, A/C, Electrical, Electronics, or ASE Master Mechanic
- Ability to perform all T3 tasks
- Basic computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Available to work shift work, weekends, and on-call duty
- Minimum tool requirement
- Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles
- Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, and road test
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
Qualifications
- Four (4) years or more relevant work experience
- Advanced analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Basic computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Available to work shift work, weekends, and on-call duty
- Minimum tool requirement
- Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles
- Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, and road test
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
- Must have demonstrated advanced analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance
- Must have basic computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be available to work shift work, weekends, and on-call duty
- Must have minimum tool requirement
- Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles
- Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, and road test
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
Skills
- SBTIII trained within 180 days (SBT220)
- Complete all OEM on-line diagnostic scan tool software courses as required by location fleet mix
- Complete Instructor led OEM courses as required to support location fleet mix

Pay
- Hourly Pay: $41.00 per hour
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- First Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Benefits
- Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
- Sign On Bonus: Ryder Pays You $2500 at 30 days and $2500 at 90 days
