About the role
Miller Transportation Group is hiring a Diesel Mechanic Technician for their Miller Truck Leasing division in Florence, NJ. This position works Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM until 11:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles
- Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes (Company supplied OEM software)
- Follow proper warranty procedures when repairing or replacing parts
- Repair / Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments
- Replace clutches & transmissions
Requirements
- Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic
- Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors
- A valid CDL, or the ability to acquire a CDL with the assistance of our trainer
- Hand tools
