Requirements
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles
- Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes (Company supplied OEM software) following proper warranty procedures
- Repair / Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, perform alignments, etc
- Replace clutches & transmissions
- Other duties not listed here though typical for Fleet Maintenance
Qualifications
- Completed technical school or have equivalent working experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic
- Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors
- A valid CDL (Class A or B) desired, or the ability to acquire one with the assistance of our training team
- Hand tools
Skills
- Knowledge of Class 1-7 diesel tractors
- Diagnostic skills for engine fault codes
- Rebuilding and repairing brake systems
- Working knowledge of steering and suspension components
- Clutch and transmission replacement skills
